1. Transform old concrete into a thing of beauty.
Existing slabs that are stained and cracked can be restored to a better than
new state by polishing the concrete. Polishing a weak, deteriorating slab
will actually increase the concrete's strength.
2. Prevent Dusting
In an ordinary concrete slab,
tiny particles of dust are pushed up through the concrete and can cause epoxy
floors to fail, resulting in expensive maintenance costs. With polished
concrete the use of densifiers results in a highly densified surface that
inhibits water, oil and other contaminants from seeping into the concrete.
3. Affordable
Polished concrete is comparable in
price to vct tile, but lifetime maintenance costs can be as much as 60% less
than more traditional floor coatings. When re-polishing is necessary many
years (5-10) down the road, it can be done for a fraction of the initial cost.
4. Polished Concrete is Ecologically
Friendly
A professionally polished floor gets it's luster from grinding with finer and
finer grit diamonds, not from epoxies, acrylics or other coatings which contain
harmful VOC's.
5. Easy Maintenance
There are no waxes to apply and no stripping necessary with polished concrete.
Simply keep the surface free from dust and use a wet mop or auto-scrubber with a
ph-neutral cleaner.
